Grifties Awards 2022

The 3rd Annual Grifties Award Nominees and Winners

Hotep Nation presents the 3rd Annual Grifties Award Winners, sponsored by Men of Order

When it comes to having political conversations, the barrier to entry has been lowered. You no longer need a law degree or study the material you're discussing. All you need to do is stick to the talking points; you too can become a grifty influencer.

People scramble to praise the individual who confirms their often uninformed bias and rush to cancel those who criticize them; even if those criticisms are in their best interest. This creates the perfect environment for the Griftconomy.

When an individual no longer needs credentials or a studied background to become an authority on a particular subject matter, expect that subject matter to be dumbed down and as a result, a population of ninnies. Intellectualism dies on this front.

In this great war between the so-called conservative right and the liberal left, the major casualty has been NUANCE. Nuanced conversations are few and far between. If you add a little too much nuance to a conversation then a leftist may declare you a radical right-wing extremist. These conversations are where neurons go to die.

The political divide doesn't even address the most important affairs. They consist of minor things and fringe aspects of our society like abortion and climate change. You won't see conversations about the dangers of a CBDC on your Twitter Trending Topics.

It is as if the population is being distracted by minor issues while the major decisions of the establishment are hidden in the shadows where hooded democrats and republicans shake hands and agree.

Even if you were to bring the important issues to the conversation, the public is too mentally restricted to understand their complexities. Some conversations require an education on the history of banking in the United States simply for someone to grasp what you are saying today. If they did these studies they would understand where The Constitution had been shredded.

Anyway, I am not saying to reprimand the grifter. I am saying to hold them to a higher standard or frame them as "people who talk" and don't give them so much weight and power over political conversations in America. Reward those who have done the studies and provide evidence for their arguments.

But most importantly, reward those who have brought nuance to the conversation instead of playing towards your bias.

Anyway, here are the nominees and winners of the 2022 Grifties Awards!
