NFL Fantasy Football Week 13 Waiver Wire

Kyren Williams, Running Back, Los Angeles Rams

Rostered in 19.4% of ESPN Fantasy Football Leagues

It has not been an exciting month for the defending Super Bowl Champions. They lost their starting Quarterback in Mathew Stafford, and perhaps the best receiver in the NFL in Cooper Kupp. On top of that, the Rams just dropped their eighth game of the season after a loss at Kansas City. There isn’t a lot to smile about if you're a Rams fan, but Rookie Running Back Kyren Williams could be valuable finishing this year and going into next year.

On Sunday, Kyren Williams finished third in rush yards behind fellow RB Cam Akers and new QB Bryce Perkins, but Williams did lead the Rams in carries with 11. It’ll be interesting to see what the plan is for the Rams backfield going forward; since there is no Darrell Henderson, it is probable that both Akers and Williams will get the majority of opportunities.

On top of that, if Mathew Stafford doesn’t return this season, the Rams will finish as a run-first offense given Bryce Perkins’ ability to run the ball and add a third element.

Los Angeles will try and right the ship in Week 13 against the Seahawks, who have struggled mightily against the run this season.

Treylon Burks, Wide Receiver, Tennessee Titans

Rostered in 37.5% of ESPN Fantasy Football Leagues

Shifting gears to another rookie, Wide Receiver Treylon Burks has become the number one option in a weak Tennessee receiving core. During the Titans’ Week 11 affair against the Packers, Treylon Burks racked up 111 receiving yards on seven catches. Burks followed that performance with four catches for 70 yards and a fumble recovery Touchdown. Those strong back to back games were good for consecutive double digit performances in Fantasy Football.

Despite Tennessee's run-heavy offense highlighted by Derrick Henry, Treylon Burks is a great pickup even if you just want to keep him as depth, or use him as a trade piece. Next week, Burks and his Titans will take on the Eagles in Philadelphia, which will be a good test for the young receiver.

Van Jefferson, WR, Los Angeles Rams

Rostered in 14.7% of ESPN Fantasy Football Leagues

With Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson on IR, Van Jefferson, who just so happens to be coming back from an injury himself, should be the number one option for Bryce Perkins. Since his season debut in Week Eight, Van Jefferson has totaled 97 yards and two touchdowns; however, all 97 of those yards have come since Week 10 after back to back bagels in Week Eight and Nine.

Jefferson will look to build on his strong 12 point PPR performance this week against the Seahawks. If you are in need of a Flex, Jefferson should be your top priority because outside of him and tight end Tyler Higbee, there is really no one else to throw to in that Rams offense.

Zonovan Knight, RB, New York Jets

Rostered in 0.1% of ESPN Fantasy Football Leagues

Last week against the Bears, Zonovan Knight racked up an impressive 69 yards on 14 carries. Recently signed from the Practice Squad, Knight will work as the lead back in the Jets Backfield because of an Injury to Michael Carter.

Surprisingly, Knight and fellow RB Ty Johnson are ahead of recently acquired James Robinson who was inactive against the Bears and probably again this week against the Vikings. If Robinson is indeed inactive for this week’s contest and going forward, then Knight will be the clear cut lead back until Carter returns from his ankle injury. Knight is available in nearly every Fantasy Football League, so if you are in need of a fill-in RB or Flex, Knight is your guy.
