UFC Fight Night: Krylov vs. Spann - Best Bets, Picks and Predictions!

We couldn't have been more right about Erin Blanchfield. Not just last night, but since she made her way into the UFC we've been singing her praises. Our UFC picks and predictions did well on the rest of the card as well. Hopefully, this week we can be just as right, because there is some money to be made. The main event sees two light heavyweight contenders clash in a battle of styles and strengths. Keep reading for this weeks UFC Picks.

A Talented Main Card

This week's main card has some serious talent. Mike Mallot made his UFC debut back in April of last year with a win against Mickey Gall, and it was a statement knockout. He comes from one of the best gyms in the country, Team Alpha Male, and is a -220 favorite against Yohan Lianesse this week. Mallot has some mean power, and has a humble personality that fans can get behind. This is certainly a fight to watch. Undefeated Tatiana Suarez takes on slick wrestler Montana De La Rosa this week as well, and while Suarez is a -750 favorite, the fight isn't as lopsided as Vegas would have you believe. Saurez has beaten some stout competition, including a TKO win against two time former champ Carla Esparza, but if anyone can give her a challenge it is Montana. While Saurez is the most likely victor it'll be interesting to see what her opponent brings to the table this week.

LHW Contenders

While the light heavyweight division was in flux for a while, it has somewhat stablilized, and fighters are stepping up for their shot at current champ Jamahal Hill. Nikita Krylov is a guy that can do it all, especially on his feet. He has struggled a bit against guys that are proficient on the ground but his opponent this week isn't exactly one of those guys. He faces Ryan Spann, super strong stand up guy. While he can lock up submissions, Spann is no Paul Craig, so we can expect to see this fight take place mostly on the feet. While Spann has immense power, Krylov is just as good at finding his opponent's off-button. Expect this week's main event to end before the fifth round bell.
