JRE 1790 - Nims Purja (Podcast Summary)

The Joe Rogan Experience - Episode 1790

Nims Purja is the multi world record breaking mountaineer who climbed all 14 of the world's "Death Zone" peaks over 8000m in just 6 months and 6 days. He was part of the first winter ascent of the "Savage Mountain" K2. His film, "14 Peaks: Nothing is Impossible," is out now on Netflix, as is his best-selling book, "Beyond Possible." Nims is a UNEP Mountain Advocate and founder of the Nimsdai Foundation.

"What I believe in is making things happen."

This guy may as well be Superman. This podcast episode is back-to-back-to-back stories of just incredible feats of physical and mental toughness. It of course includes how he developed that toughness for himself starting at a young age.

Nims Purja started out with a strong desire at a young age to be a member of the legendary Gurkhas. From there, he was determined to become the first Gurkha in the SBS (Special Boat Service). In other words, the British equivalent of Seal Team 6.

You might listen to this guy and think his exploits are all cap. Well - he has them on video and the receipts!
