Yup. You read that correctly. 5 months ago, Colin Kaepernick compared the NFL to slavery. Now, he wants to get back in the league. Kanye might have been right. LOL.
Update September 13, 2023:
- Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles in his Jets debut and is out for the season.
- The Jets will start Zach Wilson for the time being, but they are evaluating their options at quarterback.

In late October of 2021, Netflix & Colin Kaepernick released the series 'Colin in Black and White'.
The series is "An exploration of former NFL player Colin Kaepernick's high school years and experiences that led him to become an activist." Kaepernick narrated the entire series and critics quickly pointed out many controversial moments & quotes from the series.
One of the most egregious & shocking examples is when Colin literally compared the NFL Draft combine to a slave auction, the NFL itself to a slave plantation, & compared NFL Owners to slave owners.

For the purpose of this article, it doesn't matter if you agree or disagree with the comparison.
What matters, is that Colin Kaepernick clearly agrees with it, or he wouldn't have included this scene in his series.
Now, only 5 months after the series was released on Netlfix, Kaepernick is asking NFL owners (who he considers to be slave owners) to give him a chance to get back on the field.
Incredible irony indeed.
Colin Kaepernick's Latest Workout
Over the weekend, Kaepernick was the honorary captain at Michigan University's spring game. At halftime of the game, they allowed Kaepernick to throw in front of the NFL scouts who were in attendance.
This isn't the first time he's worked out for NFL scouts ... or I guess slave scouts in Colin's eyes?
Since leaving the NFL, Colin hasn't earned another opportunity despite numerous efforts to get back onto his self proclaimed plantation.
Here's what he had to say after the workout:
What do you think about this?
Let me know how you feel about a man comparing the NFL to slavery & then begging for a chance to be a 'slave' in that same system. These are his own words, not mine!
