Titans -3 vs Saints (over/under: 44)

I’ll be the first to say that I have been wrong about the Saints in previous blogs (two consecutively). Both of those times the Saints were favorites and they failed to cover. Now, they are without Jameis Winston and are on the road in Tennessee. Viewing the Titans’ defensive masterpiece in last week’s win against the Rams as the status quo for the rest of the season would be a mistake. If they play half as good defense against the Trevor Simien-led Saints this Sunday they will survive on defense alone. They allow 100 rushing yards per game and will focus on limiting the impact of Alvin Kamara, who is currently listed as questionable. Ryan Tannahill has been slinging the rock and having his duo of talented WRs of Julio Jones and AJ Brown. The Titans have performed extremely well ATS this season, at 7-2, and will continue to cover spreads. Good teams win, great teams cover. Tennessee is great. Titans -3.

Pats -2.5 vs Browns (over/under: 45)

No one knows which Browns team will show up on any given Sunday. They looked incredible in their blowout win against the Bengals last week. I do not see that same Browns team showing up in Foxboro this weekend. They will be without Nick Chubb on Sunday, and I believe he is the real catalyst of their offense. He recorded two touchdowns last week and the Browns offense and Baker Mayfield have struggled without Chubb in the lineup. I’ll be riding with Bill Belichick and the Pats for two reasons: its incredibly hard to bet against Bill and I can’t bring myself to bet on the Browns without Nick Chubb. Pats -2.5

Chargers -3 vs Vikings (over/under: 53)

One concerning stat for this game is that the Chargers surrender 161 rushing yards per game. Good thing Dalvin Cook will be out on Sunday. Justin Herbert and the Chargers need to win this game to continue their push towards the playoffs and have a great chance to do so against a Vikings team that lost to a Cowboys team without Dak Prescott. The Vikings have blown chances to win in each of the last two weeks and I am betting they will do so again this week. I love the Chargers and their huge WR core. Austin Ekeler is a monster and will continue his outburst this season. Bolts -3

Chiefs -2.5 vs Raiders (over/under: 51.5)

This game is crucial for a Chiefs team that needs to right the ship if they want to make the playoffs this year. The defense has been performing better in recent weeks, but they will have their hands full with Derek Carr and company. Carr has emerged as a better leader than most (me) previously thought and playing at home in Vegas will be huge for them. Josh Jacobs will be able to get loose against the porous Chiefs rush defense. The Raiders have also had the Chiefs number in recent years, including Derek Carr heroics in late game situations. The Chiefs dont like to cover, so the play is Raiders +2.5

Teaser Town:

New England Patriots Spread: (2.5 - 6.5 = +4)

Tennessee Titans Spread: (3 - 6.5 = +3.5)

Los Angeles Chargers Spread: (3 - 6.5 = +3.5)

Las Vegas Raiders Spread: (+2.5 + 6.5 = +9)

Dallas Cowboys Spread: (9 - 6.5 = -2.5)

Los Angeles Rams Spread: (4 - 6.5 = +2.5)
