UFC Asia

This UFC Fight Night card was supposed to take place overseas, and despite it staying domestic at the UFC Apex, it is tailored for an Asian fanbase. This is another smart move by the company, as they've essentially gone on a world tour over the past two years. When they do events in other countries they stack the card with fighters from those countries. The UFC has followed this formula very well lately, take the most recent pay-per-view in Brazil, or the UK cards as examples. MMA has been growing rapidly in Asia due to promotions like Rizin and One Championship, so now is the time to capitalize. Two fighters we're most excited for on this card: Yusaka Kinoshita makes his debut after a great performance on Dana White's Contender Series, and Doo Ho Choi returns after a long hiatus. Hopefully he shows off his boxing once again.

Try This One Again

Derrick Lewis and Serghei Spivac were slated to fight at the end of last year, but the day of the fight, Derrick Lewis pulled out due to an undisclosed illness. Matchmakers clearly wanted this fight to happen because they re-booked it as this weekend's main event. Derrick Lewis is notorious for his heavy hands and holds the most knockouts in UFC history. He is a dangerous man, but has lost three of his last five fights. He's been spotted running the streets lately, and looks to be in great shape. Serghei Spivac is another dangerous heavyweight and has been climbing the rankings. Derrick Lewis is a big test for him, but he is well rounded enough to wrestle Lewis and make his hands a non-threat. For Lewis to win, he just needs to catch Spivac. For Spivac to win, he needs to go into this matchup with a concise gameplan and stick to it.
