UFC Fight Night Picks Cannonier vs Strickland

UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs. Strickland - Picks and Predictions!

On last week's episode for UFC 282, we went undefeated (unless you count the draw in the main event. I do not, because all moneyline bets were voided and returned.) Despite some controversial decisions, it was a highly profitable week for the people who tail our picks. We hope to continue to ride that wave into this week's UFC Fight Night card.

A Lightweight Fight For the Ages

Drew Dober and Bobby Green will face off on the main card this week, and it is certainly a fight worth tuning in for. Both of these men live for entertaining fans. They are willing to stand and trade shots, go punch for punch with one another. Bobby Green has a bit more technical boxing in his arsenal, whereas Dober has raw power that can spin your head around. The past few fights for these guys have been great, making expectations pretty high for this meeting. To name a few, Drew Dober's comeback KO over Terrance McKinney, and Bobby Green's 3 round duel with Rafael Fiziev. Someone should go to sleep. To find out who Tom thinks will be sleeping on Saturday, tune into 25:00 of this week's episode.

Strickland vs Cannonier

If you're a fan of the UFC, you're well aware of the players in this week's main event. Jared Cannonier, former heavyweight turned middleweight, most recently faced a lot of criticism for a very lackluster performance in Izzy's very boring penultimate title fight. Across the octagon is Sean Strickland, one of the most polarizing personalities in the UFC, and in his last fight took a nasty left hook from Alex Perriera that put him to bed faster than a hefty dose of melatonin. Despite bad losses for both guys in their most recent fights, this week's main event will be a good one. Sean Strickland walks opponents down with his hands low, talking smack every step of the way, and Cannonier has unreal power that Sean will have to be careful of. It'll be interesting to see the gameplan these guys enter the fight with considering their previous strategies were awful. However, Sean Strickland at the Apex is enough to get me to tune in on Saturday, just to see his mid fight antics.
