Following the star studded card that was UFC 280, is a Fight Night card with slightly less name recognition, but will be just as action-packed. The Main Event is between two of the top featherweights, Calvin Kattar and Arnold Allen, both of which are impeccable standup fighters that always aim to deal their opponent immense physical damage. The fights leading up to the Main Event will also be exciting ones, made for the fans.

Now, to delve into this card.
Prelim Notables
We always start our episodes with Prelim Notables- preliminary fights that we have picks for, or that we are just looking forward to as fans. This week, we spotted a few good match-ups on the prelims. The first one we took notice of was Joseph Holmes, who goes by Ugly Man Joe. He's somewhat new to the UFC but has already developed a bit of a fan base because of his fun personality and demeanor. Another notable prelim fighter we look forward to watching Saturday is Andrei Arlovski. Arlovski is a former heavyweight champion. He is also 43 years old, but stays fighting, and does so competitively. To find our picks in these fights, as well as our other prelim notables, tune into 6:51 of this week's episode.
Main Card Brawls
There are a lot of really well made fights on this main card. To open the card there is Tresean Gore, who is a TUF alum with heavy hands, taking on the creative striker Josh "The Big Yinz" Fremd (15:30). Yinzers are a tough breed of folks from Pittsburgh, PA and Fremd is no different. Gore is also tough guy and faced some of the best from his season of The Ultimate Fighter, shutting a lot down with his hands. Dustin Jacoby and Khalil Rountree (28:45) will also scrap, and boy, oh boy will that be a good one. Both men are incredible kickboxers, with Jacoby actually having fought for a GLORY championship, and Rountree's aggressive knockout highlight reel could make anyone a fan. There are a lot of great scraps on that card but those two will be spectacles.
Scrappy Main Event
Arnold Allen takes his biggest step up in competition against Calvin Kattar (41:16) on Saturday. Both of these men are known for inflicting damage. The two best examples of this would be Allen's knockout of Dan Hooker, and the absolute beatdown of Giga Chikadze by Kattar. The biggest differences between the two men are that Kattar is a bit more measured but creative in his attacks, using great counters and elbows to rip opponent's faces apart. What Arnold Allen loses in technicality and creativity compared to Kattar he makes up for in power, speed, and cajones. This is going to be a great fight with five potential rounds for maximum action.
This card should be a fun one. You can get our full slate of picks in this week’s episode.
